What is the OKX referral code?
An OKX referral code is a short code that links a new account to whoever shared it. Ours is K6969. You enter it once, in the Referral code (optional) field, or you open our sign-up link, which carries it for you.
On 1 October 2026, our link opened OKX’s sign-up page titled “My referral code: k6969”, promising rewards for new users with no amount. The page’s data labels it an affiliate page, so K6969 looks like an affiliate code. Affiliates are partners OKX pays to bring in new users.
Signing up with K6969 has four effects under OKX’s rules:
- We earn a commission. OKX pays affiliates up to 50% commission in USDT when the people they invite trade (OKX Affiliate Program, checked 1 October 2026). USDT is Tether, a stablecoin (a coin pegged to the US dollar). The commission comes from fees you pay anyway.
- You join OKX’s new-user events, where OKX runs them. Referral sign-ups take part automatically and “may receive bonus rewards, subject to campaign rules” (OKX sign-up guide, checked 1 October 2026). UK rules ban sign-up incentives, and in the EEA only designated channels qualify.
- No fee rebate is promised. Affiliates can give invitees a trading fee rebate of 0% to 20% (OKX Affiliate FAQ, checked 1 October 2026). K6969 comes with no promised rebate.
- Switching later is rare. Outside the EEA, the same FAQ says you can’t change your affiliate once it’s assigned, even by deleting your account. In the EEA, OKX has a limited rebind request, explained below.
K6969 doesn’t set the size of any welcome reward: OKX does. OKX’s terms don’t say what sign-ups outside referral, affiliate or other designated links get.
Referral code, invite code, promo code, bonus code: what is the difference?
On OKX, all these names go into one box: the Referral code (optional) field on the sign-up form.

The field is optional. OKX says you can enter a code to receive “applicable rewards or benefits”, and leaving it blank won’t affect your registration.

How do you use OKX referral code K6969 when you sign up?
Enter K6969 in the Referral code (optional) field before you finish sign-up. Only step 3 involves the code. These steps follow OKX’s app guide (OKX sign-up guide, August 2026).
- Open the official OKX app or website. Type okx.com yourself. In Apple’s App Store, OKX says the only real developer is “OKX Inc.” (OKX iOS guide, August 2026).
- Tap Sign up and choose your Country/region. Pick where you live, accept the terms, then tap Create account.
- Enter your email and K6969. Expand the Referral code (optional) field and type K6969. If you opened our link, the code should already be there.
- Verify your email. OKX sends a six-digit code, and you have 10 minutes to enter it (OKX registration help, August 2026).
- Add and verify your phone number. OKX requires both. Each email and each phone number can register only one OKX account.
- Complete identity verification (KYC), the identity check exchanges run before you can trade. You must be 18 or older, and OKX reviews applications within 24 hours (OKX verification guide, August 2026).
- Open Rewards > Welcome Rewards before you deposit or trade. OKX shows each new user’s own tasks, deadlines and rewards there.
On a phone, finish sign-up through our link before you download the app. OKX’s Affiliate FAQ warns that the code may not count otherwise.

Do you need the OKX referral link, or just the code?
Either one works. The link fills in the code, and OKX locks a pre-filled code so it can’t be edited. Typing K6969 into the field works the same way. If the field doesn’t appear, OKX suggests signing up through the referral link instead.
What do you actually get with OKX code K6969?
Where OKX runs new-user events, you get a place in them, with tasks and rewards that OKX sets. We found no OKX page that names a fixed reward for K6969. Here is what OKX’s own pages say about invited users:
- Affiliate Program page: OKX tells affiliates that the people they invite can get a new-user bonus set aside for them. It names no amount (OKX Affiliate Program, checked 1 October 2026).
- New User Bonus terms: the program covers sign-ups through “Referral, Affiliate, or other designated referral links” (New User Bonus terms, checked 1 October 2026).
- Referral FAQ: tasks and amounts can differ by country or region, campaign period, sign-up channel and user group (OKX Referral FAQ, September 2026).

A rebate card pays your daily net trading fees back in USDT the next day, until it’s used up or expires (Trading Rebate Card terms, August 2026).
So should you use K6969? Use it if you want to support this site at no extra cost. If a fee rebate matters more to you, choose a code whose owner states the rate in writing.

OKX welcome bonus: how Welcome Rewards work
The OKX welcome bonus is a set of new-user tasks that OKX calls Welcome Rewards, part of its New User Bonus program. These are the global rules (New User Bonus terms):
- Tasks are personal. They appear in Rewards > Welcome Rewards, which OKX’s 2023 terms call the Campaign center. They usually need identity verification plus a deposit or a trade.
- A trading task needs one trade that reaches the required amount. Zero-fee stablecoin pairs, such as USDC/USDT, and zero-fee Convert (OKX’s instant swap tool) don’t count.
- Some deposits don’t count. Internal transfers, red packets (crypto gifts sent between users), rewards and P2P sharing orders are excluded. P2P means buying crypto directly from another user.
- Rewards arrive locked. You can’t withdraw or trade them until OKX releases them, and their value moves with crypto prices meanwhile.
- Open each reward within 30 days in the OKX app, or it expires. After 180 days from sign-up, you can no longer view the tasks.
- Only main accounts qualify. Sub-accounts (secondary accounts under your main one) can’t take part.
- Statuses take up to 48 hours. After that, contact customer service.
Welcome Rewards by region
Some regions have their own OKX company and reward rules.

X-Perps are OKX Europe’s perpetual futures. Futures let you bet on a coin’s price going up or down without owning it, often with leverage (borrowed money). A small price move can trigger liquidation: OKX closes your position, and your margin (the money backing it) is gone. Don’t trade futures just to use a voucher.
Is there a free OKX bonus code or mystery box?
No code gives you free crypto you can withdraw straight away. Welcome Rewards need identity verification and tasks, they arrive locked, and OKX can cancel them for rule breaches.
Mystery Boxes are a reward format in some OKX campaigns, such as its EEA referral program. The page our link opened on 1 October 2026 showed no Mystery Box.
Don’t open extra accounts to collect rewards twice. OKX says registering multiple accounts, or using another person’s account or identity, breaks its program rules (OKX Referral FAQ, September 2026).
Can you add an OKX referral code after registration?
No, not as a code. OKX says the code must be applied before sign-up is completed and “can’t be added afterwards”. After registration, the referral relationship “usually can’t be added or changed” (OKX Referral FAQ, checked 1 October 2026).
Don’t delete your account to try again. OKX says deleting an account and signing up again doesn’t restore referral or New User Bonus eligibility.
OKX describes two narrow exceptions, and neither lets you type in a code:
- Recall of inactive accounts. An affiliate can “recall” a user with no deposits, trades or logins for over 180 days (OKX Affiliate FAQ, September 2026). You can’t check whether you qualify.
- Rebind requests in the EEA. Existing EEA users can ask to be bound to an affiliate. This works only if that affiliate has turned on OKX’s Win Back Invitation, and your account must pass an automatic check. You can ask once every 30 days, and new-user task deadlines still count from sign-up (OKX EEA Affiliate FAQ, checked 4 October 2026).
We can’t confirm that K6969 offers a rebind. Our okx.com/join link only works for new sign-ups. It can’t rebind an existing account. If you missed the code, keep your account and check the offer its Welcome Rewards page shows.

OKX referral code not working: common causes and fixes
Usually it’s a typo, a missing field, or a link that lost the code on the way to the app.

If none of these fit, contact OKX through Menu > Get help in the official app (OKX scam guide, August 2026). OKX says official support never starts private chats or asks for your account details (OKX account security guide, August 2026).
Codes from Reddit or a friend: which one should you use?
Pick a code from a source you trust, because codes on OKX can differ. Codes on Reddit and other forums belong to other users or affiliates.
OKX says Welcome Rewards can vary by sign-up channel. And an affiliate can give its invitees a trading fee rebate between 0% and 20% (OKX Affiliate FAQ, updated 15 September 2026). K6969 comes with no promised fee rebate.
You can check what you got after sign-up. In the OKX app, open the Main menu, then User Center, then My Rewards. OKX says that if no rebate module appears there, no rebate rate was assigned to you.
Whoever’s code you pick, run these checks first:
- Never pay for a code. Referral codes are free to share.
- Check promised rebates under My Rewards after sign-up.
- Only sign up on okx.com or the official app. OKX says to type the address yourself rather than search for it.
OKX caps an invitee’s fee rebate at 20%, so a code that promises 30% off fees doesn’t match OKX’s rules. Sums such as $150, $200 or €300 on other sites don’t appear as a global welcome amount on the OKX pages we checked. Your real offer is the one in Rewards > Welcome Rewards.

Who can’t use OKX? Restricted countries, OKX US and the EU
OKX doesn’t serve the places on its Restricted Locations list, and US residents must use OKX US. A referral code changes none of this.

MiCA is the EU’s Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation, the law that licenses crypto firms across the EEA. The FCA is the UK’s financial regulator.
OKX US terms say US users are “expressly prohibited” from the products of OKX’s non-US companies (US Referral Bonus terms, September 2026).
How the OKX referral program pays referrers
OKX pays inviters through two programs: the Referral Program for ordinary users, and the Affiliate Program for approved partners. This section is for readers who want to invite others.
Referral Program. Your friend signs up with your code, passes advanced identity verification and finishes the tasks in time (OKX referral terms, checked 1 October 2026). The fine print:
- Your offer is in the app. Referral > Learn more shows it, and Referral > My referrals tracks each friend.
- Rewards wait for tasks. You get nothing the moment a friend signs up, only after their tasks are done and checked. OKX’s FAQ says rewards are issued automatically, but its terms say to claim them in the app before the campaign ends, so check Referral > My referrals.
- There is a lock-up. OKX’s terms describe a 7-day lock-up for inviter rewards, and OKX reclaims rewards whose holding conditions aren’t met.
- There is a cap. Rewards are capped in each campaign cycle.
- Regions must match. You get no reward when your friend is in a different region, unless the program supports it.
Affiliate Program. Affiliates earn up to 50% commission in USDT on their invitees’ trading, and they can’t earn Referral Program rewards. To apply, OKX asks for 10 valid new users, each with a single order of at least 50 USDT (OKX fee help, updated 1 September 2026). In the EEA, users become affiliates automatically at 5 valid invitees who passed identity checks and traded 50 USDC or more (OKX EEA Affiliate FAQ, October 2026).

Sign in first. On the website, go to More > Referral. In the app, your link is on the Referral page, and your code is on Referral > Learn more (OKX Referral FAQ, September 2026).
OKX fees and safety settings before your first deposit
K6969 doesn’t change what you pay. These are OKX’s global rates for Regular users, the non-VIP level (OKX fee framework, November 2025, checked 1 October 2026). OKX notes that fees can vary by region.

Spot means buying coins outright. Holding OKB, OKX’s own token, doesn’t lower your fees (OKX fee help, September 2026). VIP fee levels start at 100,000 USD in assets or 1,000,000 USD of trading in 30 days.
OKX offers futures leverage of up to 125x (OKX Learn: futures, June 2026), and a tiny price move can then liquidate your position. Practise in demo trading first.
For safety, set these up before your first deposit:
- Turn on 2FA, two-factor authentication. With an authenticator app on, OKX asks for its codes before withdrawals and security changes (OKX account security guide, August 2026).
- Set an anti-phishing code. Genuine OKX emails then show your own chosen code, so a fake email stands out.
- Use the withdrawal allowlist, so withdrawals can go only to addresses you saved.
- Expect a 24-hour pause. OKX blocks withdrawals for 24 hours after you change your login password or a verification method (OKX withdrawal help, August 2026).
OKX publishes a monthly Proof of Reserves, a report showing it holds at least as much of each coin as users deposited. Its 45th report showed 105% for BTC, 103% for ETH, 112% for USDT and 101% for USDC (OKX Learn, July 2026). These are OKX’s own figures, not deposit insurance.
In February 2025, OKX’s Seychelles company Aux Cayes FinTech resolved a US Department of Justice case. It acknowledged operating without a US money transmitter licence and agreed to an 84 million dollar penalty (OKX statement, February 2025).
