What is the Binance referral code?
A Binance referral code is a short invite code that connects a new account to the person or website that invited it. You enter it once, on the sign-up form, in a field Binance labels Referral ID. Our code is A6969.
The code is part of Binance’s Referral Pro program. When you register with a Referral Pro code, Binance records who invited you. Binance then pays the inviter a commission from its own trading fee revenue, based on the rules in its Referral Pro FAQ.
One fact matters more than the rest. A6969 shares 0% of that commission back to you. So the code does not lower your trading fees and does not pay you anything directly. We say this plainly because the rest of this guide depends on it.
So is there any benefit for you? No extra one. Signing up with A6969 or with no code gives the same Welcome Rewards eligibility. Among sign-up routes, only a Referral Lite link loses it (business accounts and excluded countries can’t get Welcome Rewards either). Using A6969 supports this site at no cost to you. If you want to use it, enter it at sign-up, because adding it later is tightly limited.
Referral code vs referral ID vs invitation code vs referral link
They are four names for one thing: the invite code you enter once at sign-up. This table sorts out where each name comes from.
| Term you see | What it really is | Where you use it |
|---|---|---|
| Referral code | The short code, for example A6969 | Referral ID field on the sign-up form |
| Referral ID | Binance’s own label for that field and for your code | Sign-up form, and your Referral page later |
| Invitation code / invite code | Another name for the referral code | Same Referral ID field |
| Referral link | A sign-up URL with the code already inside it | Opens the form with the code filled in |
| Promo code / voucher code | Usually a mix-up. Binance vouchers appear in your Rewards Hub | You do not type these at sign-up |
If you open a referral link, Binance usually fills the Referral ID field for you. If you type the code yourself, check each character. A6969 starts with the capital letter A, followed by four digits.
How to use Binance referral code A6969 when you sign up
Enter A6969 in the Referral ID field before you tap to create the account. Only step 4 involves the code; everything else is the normal sign-up, and it takes a few minutes on the app or the website.
- Open the official Binance app or website. Download the app only from Google Play or the Apple App Store, or type binance.com yourself. Fake sign-up pages are a common phishing trick.
- Tap Sign Up. Choose email or phone number. Personal accounts are the right choice for most people.
- Create a strong password. Use one you do not use anywhere else.
- Find the Referral ID field and enter A6969. On some screens it is folded under a small “Referral ID (Optional)” line. Tap it to open the box, then type or paste A6969.
- Accept the terms and create the account. Binance asks you to confirm your email or phone with a one-time code.
- Complete identity verification (KYC). KYC is the identity check exchanges run before you can trade or deposit. Binance says all new users must reach Verified status to trade or deposit crypto, and it typically reviews documents within 48 hours (Binance KYC FAQ, updated June 2026).
- Open the Rewards Hub. After verification, your beginner tasks appear there and in the Account Center.
What do you actually get with a Binance referral code?
What a new user receives is Binance’s Welcome Rewards. It is a Binance program, not something the code creates. According to Binance’s Welcome Rewards FAQ (last updated 1 April 2026, checked 21 September 2026):
- You receive three beginner tasks after registering. They sit in the Rewards Hub and the Account Center.
- Tasks are issued only after you complete verification.
- You have a limited number of days to finish them and redeem up to 100 USD worth of trading fee rebate vouchers. A trade-back percentage applies: the share of your fees that gets refunded.
- The vouchers work only on the Binance app. They do not cover fees from API trading.
- Business accounts, and users who registered through a Referral Lite link, are not eligible.
How a trading fee rebate voucher works
A trading fee rebate voucher is not cash. It refunds part of the trading fees you actually pay. Binance’s voucher rules (updated January 2026) explain the timing. The rebate reaches your Spot Wallet the next day, in USDT or USDC (stablecoins pegged to the US dollar) or BNB (Binance’s own coin), up to the voucher’s remaining balance.
Some activity does not count. The same rules exclude a few advanced products most beginners won’t use: Binance Alpha trades, Auto-Invest, TWAP bots, and futures delivery and liquidation fees.
In practice, a voucher only has value if you trade. If you never trade, a 100 USD voucher returns nothing. At the regular 0.100% fee, you pay 100 USD in fees only after about 100,000 USD of trades, and the trade-back returns only part of that. Don’t trade more just to use a voucher. That is why we call it a fee refund, not a bonus you can withdraw.
Referral Pro vs Referral Lite: which sign-up keeps Welcome Rewards?
Among sign-up routes, only Referral Lite loses Welcome Rewards; business accounts and excluded countries are also left out. Binance runs two referral modes, and the one your inviter uses changes what you can claim as a new user.
| Referral Pro (code A6969) | Referral Lite | |
|---|---|---|
| Welcome Rewards (up to 100 USD in fee rebate vouchers) | Eligible (same as signing up with no code), if you pass verification and live in an eligible country | Not eligible |
| What the new user gets from the referral itself | Nothing directly from A6969, which shares 0% commission | Fee rebate vouchers for completing two tasks |
| Referral Lite tasks | Not applicable | Within 14 days: buy more than 50 dollars of crypto, then trade more than 100 dollars via Spot (the regular market) or Convert (a one-tap swap) |
| Maximum Lite vouchers | Not applicable | Up to 1,100 dollars in total for the new user |

Which is better for you depends on what you plan to do. Lite gives the new user a voucher after each task. Both tasks must be done within 14 days of sign-up, the vouchers must be redeemed within 7 days, and they are fee rebates, not cash. The Welcome Rewards route needs verification and three beginner tasks. You cannot switch later, because a referral relationship on Binance is permanent.
Are “free 100 USDT”, 20 USDT or 500 USDT voucher codes real?
No sign-up, referral or promo code gives you free, withdrawable USDT. (Red Packet codes are different: they are gifts of crypto sent by another user, not a sign-up bonus.) The “100 USDT” figure you see online comes from the Welcome Rewards, which are trading fee rebate vouchers, as described above.
Codes promising “20 USDT” or “500 USDT” at sign-up follow the same pattern. There is no field on the sign-up form for a voucher code. Real vouchers appear inside your own Rewards Hub after verification, with their rules and expiry date.
Can you add a Binance referral code after registration?
Yes, but only in a narrow case. Binance’s Referral Pro FAQ (updated 5 August 2026, checked 21 September 2026) covers users who forgot to enter a code. They can bind one on the referral binding page only if all of these are true:
- The account is within 30 days of registration.
- The account has no deposit or trading activity yet.
- The account has no existing referral relationship.
- It is a parent account, not a sub-account (a secondary account created under your main one).
- Your KYC information has not been used on another account in the past 180 days.
- The account is not flagged for wash trading (trading with yourself to fake volume).
Once a referral relationship exists, it cannot be changed or removed. So if you already deposited, or you signed up with someone else’s code, you cannot switch to A6969. Do not close your account to start over with a new code. Binance’s FAQ warns this can end the referral link’s commissions and make you ineligible for rebates.
Binance referral code not working? Common causes and fixes
Usually it’s a typo, a closed binding window, or an account that already has a referrer. This table covers the common cases.
| What you see | Likely cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| “Invalid referral ID” | A typo or an extra space | Retype A6969 exactly, capital A plus four digits |
| No Referral ID field | The field is folded under “Optional” | Tap the Referral ID line to expand it |
| Can’t bind after sign-up | More than 30 days passed, or you already deposited or traded | The code can no longer be added to this account |
| Binding rejected | Your KYC was used on another account in the past 180 days, or the account already has a referrer | Binance does not allow a second link |
| No Welcome Rewards tasks | Verification not finished, a Lite sign-up, or an excluded country | Finish KYC, then check the Rewards Hub; excluded regions get no tasks |
If none of these apply, contact Binance support through the chat inside the app. Only use the official app or website for support. Binance staff will never ask for your password or 2FA code.
Binance sign-up bonus by region: UK, US, India and others
Residents of the US, UK, Canada, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and dozens of other listed countries and territories can’t get Welcome Rewards. Where you live also decides whether you can open a Binance.com account at all.
| Region | Can you use Binance? | Welcome Rewards | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| United States | Use Binance.US, a separate platform; some states cannot register (for example New York and Texas) | Not available | Binance.US state list, June 2026 |
| United Kingdom | Retail users use Binance’s UK domain | Not available; referral bonuses and gift cards stopped for UK retail users on 8 October 2023 (announced 6 October 2023, checked September 2026) | Binance UK update |
| India | Website and app available; Binance registered with India’s FIU-IND (announced 15 August 2024) | Not on the exclusion list we checked | Binance India announcement |
| Canada, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore | Check Binance’s terms for your country | Not available | Welcome Rewards FAQ |
The Welcome Rewards exclusion list is longer than this table. As of the April 2026 version, it also includes these countries:
Albania, Bangladesh, Croatia, Cuba, Dubai, Haiti, Iceland, Iran, Liechtenstein, Malaysia, the Netherlands, North Korea, Norway, Pakistan, the Philippines, Russia, Serbia, Syria, Thailand, Uzbekistan and several overseas territories. Entity users in Kazakhstan, Japan and the United Arab Emirates are excluded too. Check the live FAQ before you rely on a reward.
Is there a separate Binance futures referral code?
No. A Binance account has one Referral ID, entered once at sign-up. The same account then gives you access to spot, futures and other products, depending on your country and verification. A code labelled “futures referral code” is the same kind of code, entered in the same field.
Keep in mind that Welcome Rewards vouchers do not cover futures delivery or liquidation fees. Futures let you trade with borrowed money (leverage). A small price move can wipe out your whole stake in that trade, so futures are not a sensible first step for a new account.
How Binance pays referrers
Binance pays referrers a share of their invitees’ trading fees, in USDC. This section is for readers who want to invite others. Under Referral Pro, you can create up to 50 referral codes or links from the Referral page in your account (Referral Pro FAQ).
The same FAQ explains how commissions work:
- Commissions come from the trading fees your referrals pay, at a rate set by your tier.
- Since 13 February 2025, commissions are calculated and converted to USDC every hour, then paid to your Spot Account within 6 hours.
- Spot and margin commissions stop once a referred user reaches VIP 3 or higher.
- Sub-accounts, brokers and users in restricted regions are not eligible for referral evaluations.
Binance Wallet, the self-custody wallet inside the app, runs a separate referral program launched on 1 September 2025 (Binance announcement). It is not the same thing as an exchange referral code.
Fees and safety settings to know before your first deposit
A referral code does not change what you pay. These are Binance’s standard numbers for a regular user (Binance fee schedule, checked September 2026).
| Fee | Regular user | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Spot maker / taker | 0.100% / 0.100% | Maker adds an order to the book; taker fills an existing order |
| Spot maker / taker, paying with BNB | 0.075% / 0.075% | 25% discount when fees are paid in BNB |
| Crypto deposit | No fee | Your wallet or the sending exchange may still charge |
| Crypto withdrawal | Network fee | Depends on the coin and the network (the blockchain the coin is sent on), and changes with congestion |
For safety, three Binance features are worth knowing before your first deposit:
- Anti-phishing code. Set a 6 to 8 character code in Security settings. It then appears in every genuine Binance email and SMS, so a message without it is a warning sign (Binance security FAQ).
- Proof of Reserves. Binance publishes reserve reports and lets you check that your own balance is included (Proof of Reserves).
- SAFU fund. Binance’s emergency fund, created in July 2018, holds about 1 billion US dollars in Bitcoin as of 2026 and is kept separate from operating accounts (Binance Academy). It is Binance’s own fund, not government deposit insurance.
What to do next
- Create your account from the official Binance app or website and enter A6969 in the Referral ID field before you finish sign-up.
- Complete identity verification, then turn on 2FA and set an anti-phishing code in Security settings.
- Open the Rewards Hub to see which beginner tasks you received, and read each voucher’s rules and expiry before you trade.

Frequently asked questions
What is the Binance referral code for 2026?
Our Binance referral code is A6969. Enter it in the Referral ID field on the Binance sign-up form before you finish creating the account. It links your account to our Referral Pro invite. It adds no bonus or fee discount.
Do I need a referral code to get Binance Welcome Rewards?
No. Signing up with no code gives the same Welcome Rewards eligibility as signing up with A6969. Only sign-ups through a Referral Lite link, business accounts and users in excluded countries can’t get them.
Does referral code A6969 give me a discount on trading fees?
No. A6969 is a Referral Pro code that shares 0% commission, so it does not lower your fees or pay you directly. Regular users pay 0.100% maker and taker spot fees, or 0.075% when paying fees in BNB. Welcome Rewards are a separate Binance program.
Can I add or change a Binance referral code after I sign up?
Only in a narrow case. The account must be under 30 days old, with no deposit, trade or existing referrer. It must be a parent account, your KYC must not have been used elsewhere in the past 180 days, and it must not be flagged for wash trading. Once a referrer is linked, it can’t be changed.
Is the Binance welcome bonus real money I can withdraw?
No. Welcome Rewards are trading fee rebate vouchers worth up to 100 USD in total. They refund part of the spot trading fees you pay, credited the next day in USDT, USDC or BNB. If you do not trade, they return nothing.
Can UK or US users get the Binance sign-up bonus?
No. The United Kingdom and United States are on the Welcome Rewards exclusion list, and UK retail users have not received referral bonuses since 8 October 2023. US residents are served by the separate Binance.US platform.
Where do I find my own Binance referral ID?
Open the Referral page in your Binance account. Under Referral Pro you can create up to 50 referral codes or links to share, and track your referrals and commissions there.
Every Binance rule and number in this guide comes from Binance’s own pages, linked where it appears. The 0% commission share of A6969 is our own disclosure. The two rules most likely to change, Welcome Rewards and the 30-day binding window, were re-checked on 21 September 2026.
