Bybit Card Guide (2026): How to Get the Virtual Card, Where It Works, Fees and Cashback

October 13, 2026 by Michael Johnson

Quick answer
The Bybit Card is a Visa or Mastercard that spends from your Funding Account and Flexible Easy Earn balance. You apply in the app or on bybit.com after Advanced Identity Verification (KYC), and get a virtual card first. No referral code is needed. Only some regions qualify, not the US or Canada, and EEA residents use Bybit EU. Cashback is 2% to 10%, crypto spending only, with monthly caps.

Disclosure: YODA COIN may earn a commission if you sign up with our referral code or link, at no extra cost to you. Read our disclaimer.

Availability: The card is offered only in the regions listed below (Bybit Card FAQ, updated 3 September 2026, checked 12 October 2026). Bybit doesn’t serve the US, Canada and other excluded places, and EEA residents can only get a Bybit EU card.

Note (12 October 2026): this video was recorded in mid-September 2026. It mentions an offer of up to 20 USDT (Tether, a stablecoin pegged to the US dollar) on the sign-up page for code 82500. That offer has since changed, and it has nothing to do with the card. The video also predates Bybit’s 5 October rule that only crypto-funded payments earn cashback.

What is the Bybit Card?

The Bybit Card is a payment card linked to your Bybit account, for spending crypto wherever Visa or Mastercard is accepted. It has no balance of its own and draws on your Funding Account and your Flexible Easy Earn balance (Bybit Card FAQ, September 2026).

The Funding Account is your main Bybit wallet. Flexible Easy Earn is Bybit’s savings product that you can redeem at any time (Bybit Easy Earn FAQ, June 2026).

Everyone starts with the virtual card, for online payments and Apple Pay or Google Pay. Asia Pacific and Mexico cards support Google Pay but not Apple Pay. The physical card adds chip-and-PIN and contactless payments in shops, plus cash at any Visa or Mastercard ATM. A virtual card works only at some contactless (NFC) ATMs, and its ATM option starts switched off (Bybit Card FAQ; card settings guide).

Bybit works with licensed partners to issue its cards. Its Asia Pacific terms say Bybit Technologies Limited “facilitates the issuance of credit cards through its licensed third-party partners” (cardholder terms, June 2025).

Where can you get the Bybit Card?

You can get it only in Bybit’s card regions: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Mexico, Peru and parts of Asia Pacific.

Where you liveCan you get the Bybit Card?Card type, currency
United States, Canada, Mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore and Bybit’s other excluded placesNo. Bybit doesn’t serve them at allNone
EEA: the EU plus Iceland, Liechtenstein and NorwayYes, but only the Bybit EU card, on a separate Bybit EU account. Not MaltaMastercard, EUR
United KingdomNo program listed. The UK isn’t in Bybit’s card region listNone
SwitzerlandNo program listed. Bybit’s EEA and Swiss card left bybit.com, and Bybit EU serves only EEA residentsNone

Asia PacificYes, if the app lists your country. We found no public country listVisa credit card. USD

Sources: the card FAQ, restricted countries and the Bybit EU card FAQ, checked 12 October 2026.

Good to know: Never use a VPN or someone else’s documents to get a card from another region. Bybit says a false location can get your account closed and your open positions force-closed (Bybit restricted countries, September 2026).

How do you get a Bybit virtual card?

You need Advanced Identity Verification first: Bybit’s KYC table lists the card for Advanced and Pro verification only (KYC levels, updated 6 October 2026). KYC is the identity check exchanges run, and Advanced adds a proof of address (KYC FAQ, August 2026). The steps come from Bybit’s card guide (June 2026, checked 12 October 2026):

  1. Open the official Bybit app or bybit.com. No account yet? Sign up first. Our sign-up link carries our affiliate code 82500, but it changes nothing about the card. An account keeps one code, and Bybit won’t change it later (affiliate code guide). If a friend’s Referral Program code would bring you rewards, use theirs instead (how Bybit sign-up codes work).
  2. Go to Finance, then Card, and tap Apply Now.
  3. Select your country of residence. If it isn’t supported, Bybit records your interest.
  4. Pass the eligibility check. Complete Identity Verification and enter your home address. The card has stricter rules, so Bybit may ask you to verify again.
  5. Add any region details Bybit asks for, such as a local ID number.
  6. Confirm your email or phone and set up Google 2FA. 2FA (two-factor authentication) adds a one-time code from an app. Then accept the terms and tap Submit.
  7. Wait for approval. It usually takes a few minutes but can take up to 7 working days.
  8. Activate the card. Add your billing address and mobile number in the card settings, and the virtual card activates.

Ordering the physical Bybit Card

You can order a physical card once your virtual card is approved, except in Peru for now. Asia Pacific users also need spending-limit Tier 2 or higher (Bybit Card FAQ). This tier is separate from the cashback tiers below. Non-VIP users can request it in the Card Dashboard under Check Limit, then Request an Upgrade. The review can take up to 7 business days (Fees and Limits).

Apply from the physical card banner under Finance, then Card, with a shipping address in your home country. Australian and Asia Pacific cards also need a PIN. Delivery can take up to 30 days, mostly without tracking (Bybit’s card guide, June 2026). To activate it, open Manage My Card and enter the CVV, the 3-digit code on the back.

How does a Bybit Card payment work?

When you pay, Bybit spends fiat (ordinary money such as USD) first, then sells crypto in the order you set (Introduction to Bybit Card, June 2026).

  • Default crypto order: USDT, USDC (another dollar stablecoin), GRAM (another crypto token), BTC (Bitcoin), ETH (Ether), then XRP. You can change it in the Card Dashboard under Paying With (Bybit Card FAQ).
  • Rate: Bybit’s One-Click Sell price, plus a crypto conversion fee.

Prices can move between your top-up and your purchase. If the card sells BTC or ETH and the price drops, more coins leave your account. Stablecoins move far less.

Spending crypto can also count as selling it for tax. Australia’s tax office lists buying “goods or services with a crypto asset” as a possible capital gains tax event (ATO, June 2026). Check your local tax rules.

⚠️ Watch out: To top up, buy crypto on Bybit or deposit it from another wallet. For an on-chain deposit (crypto sent over a blockchain), pick the same network on both sides, for example USDT on TRC-20. Send a small test amount first. Some coins, such as XRP, also need a memo or tag, an extra ID for your account (Bybit Deposit FAQ, August 2026).

Bybit Card fees and limits

The virtual card is free, with no annual, inactivity or cancellation fee. You pay mainly for conversions and ATM cash (Fees and Limits, updated 10 September 2026, checked 12 October 2026).

Card regionPhysical cardForeign exchange feeCrypto conversionFree ATM cash a month, then 2%

Argentina5 USD or USDT7%0.5%95,000 ARS
PeruNot available yet2%0.9%Not supported

The foreign exchange fee applies when you pay in another currency, such as EUR on a USD card. Spending limits depend on your region: the Asia Pacific card starts at 10,000 USD a day and 50,000 USD a month. ATM limits can be lower still: a Tier 1 Australian card allows 50 USD a month, and a Tier 1 Asia Pacific card none.

How much cashback does the Bybit Card give?

The Bybit Card gives 2% to 10% back, depending on your tier, and every tier has a monthly cap. Since 5 October 2026 at 10:00 UTC, only crypto-funded payments earn it (Bybit Card Rewards, updated 2 October 2026, checked 12 October 2026).

TierHow you reach itCashbackMonthly cap
Tier 1The start for non-VIP users2%5 USD
Tier 2500 USD a month, or VIP 1 to 22%50 USD
Tier 33,500 USD a month, or VIP 34%150 USD
Tier 49,500 USD a month, or VIP 4 or PRO 16%250 USD
Tier 512,500 USD a month, or VIP 5 or PRO 28%400 USD
Tier 625,000 USD a month, or Supreme VIP or PRO 3 to 510%600 USD

VIP and PRO are Bybit’s levels for large traders. A tier reached by spending lasts until the end of the next month. Bybit Pay spending counts toward the same tier and cap. Bybit’s 100% cashback on subscriptions such as Netflix needs Tier 3 or a VIP level, and it counts toward the cap. How cashback reaches you (Card Rewards FAQ, October 2026):

  • Points, then cash. Rewards Points stay pending for 4 days. With Auto Cashback switched on, Bybit converts them daily at 0.002 USDT per point, from 50 points.
  • Where it lands. In your Funding Account, in the coin you choose. Bybit calls this cashback token airdrops, and its Rewards Hub FAQ says airdrops can be used for any purpose.
  • Refunds take it back. If a purchase is refunded, Bybit removes its points. If you already cashed them out, Bybit deducts their value, and your monthly cap isn’t restored.
  • What earns nothing: ATM cash, fees, gambling, brokers, crypto or currency purchases, money transfers and prepaid or e-wallet top-ups.

At Tier 1, the 5 USD cap is reached after 250 USD of crypto spending a month. And because fiat is spent first, fiat balances earn nothing.

On 12 October 2026, the Bybit Card page also advertised a “new user welcome package”. It offered 10% cashback, up to 110 USDT in your first 30 days, plus trading-fee vouchers. We found no written terms for it, including who qualifies.

Does a referral code matter for the Bybit Card?

No, you don’t need a referral code to get the card. Bybit’s card pages ask for Advanced Identity Verification, a home address and a supported region. None mentions a code.

Codes matter only for separate friend-referral rewards. Bybit’s Referral Program card task paid the friend 10 USDT after spending 100 USDT with the card, and the inviter 20 USDT. Its FAQ now limits this to friends registered before 10 October 2026, 12:00 UTC (Bybit Referral FAQ, updated 10 October 2026, checked 12 October 2026). The card page still advertised it on 12 October.

These rewards belong to Referral Program codes, which ordinary users share. 82500 is our affiliate invitation code, and we found no Bybit page that grants card rewards to people who sign up with it. Our Bybit referral code guide explains how the two code types differ.

Is the Bybit Card safe to use?

The card has good controls, but the money behind it sits in your Bybit account, not a bank. No government deposit insurance covers it, so keep only what you plan to spend there. Bybit publishes Proof of Reserves, but hackers stole funds from Bybit in early 2025 (Bybit incident timeline, March 2025).

Set up the card controls on day one (Bybit Card management guide, May 2026):

  • Freeze the card in Card Management while you don’t use it.
  • Switch off what you don’t need: online payments, ATM cash or non-3DS payments. Non-3DS payments skip 3D Secure, the extra online check, and Bybit warns they make a card more vulnerable. They start on for a virtual card.
  • Report a lost or stolen card at once, then order a replacement.
  • Set an anti-phishing code. It then appears in genuine Bybit emails and SMS (anti-phishing guide, May 2026).
Good to know: Never send crypto to anyone to “activate” a card or a cashback reward. Stop if someone asks for your password, 2FA code, card number, CVV or PIN, even if they claim to be Bybit support. Apply only inside the official app or on bybit.com.

What to do next

  1. Check that the Bybit app lists your country when you start the card application. Never use a VPN or another country’s documents.
  2. Complete Advanced Identity Verification and turn on 2FA, then apply for the virtual card under Finance, then Card.
  3. Before your first payment, set your crypto payment order, switch on Auto Cashback and turn off the payment types you don’t use. Top up with a small test deposit first.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Bybit Card a debit card?

Yes, it works like one. Bybit calls it a crypto debit card: it has no balance of its own and spends from your Funding Account and Flexible Easy Earn balance. The network label differs by region, for example a Visa credit card in Asia Pacific and a Mastercard prepaid card in Australia.

How do I get a Bybit Card?

Complete Advanced Identity Verification, then go to Finance, then Card, and tap Apply Now. Choose your country of residence, confirm your address and set up 2FA. Approval usually takes minutes, at most 7 working days. Once you have the virtual card, you can order a physical card where Bybit offers one.

Can I get a Bybit Card in the US, UK or EU?

Not in the US: Bybit lists the US and Canada as excluded places, so its app and card don’t work there. EEA residents can get only the separate Bybit EU card, and Malta is excluded. The UK isn’t in Bybit’s card region list. Bybit lists programs for Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Mexico, Peru and Asia Pacific.

What is the minimum deposit for a Bybit Card?

Bybit’s card pages list no minimum deposit to get the card, and the virtual card is free to issue until further notice. Each payment needs enough balance in your Funding Account or Flexible Easy Earn. Crypto conversions have a minimum amount, 1 USD in most regions.

How much cashback does the Bybit Card give?

2% at Tier 1, rising to 10% at Tier 6, on crypto-funded payments only since 5 October 2026. Each tier has a monthly cap: 5 USD at Tier 1 and 600 USD at Tier 6. Points stay pending for 4 days. If you switch on Auto Cashback, Bybit then pays them daily to your Funding Account.

Do I need a referral code to get a Bybit Card?

No. Bybit’s card pages ask for Advanced Identity Verification, a home address and a supported region, not a code. Our affiliate code 82500 doesn’t change card fees or cashback. Card bonuses for invited friends belong to Bybit’s Referral Program codes, and its FAQ limits them to friends who registered before 10 October 2026.

What are the Bybit Card fees?

The virtual card is free, with no annual or inactivity fee. In most regions you pay a 0.9% crypto conversion fee, 2% on foreign currency payments and 2% on ATM cash above 100 USD a month. A physical card costs 5 USDT in Asia Pacific and 29.99 USD in Australia.

Every rule, fee and limit here comes from Bybit’s own pages, linked where it appears, re-checked on 12 October 2026.
