BingX Exchange Review 2026: What It Is, Fees, Copy Trading, Safety and Who Can Use It

September 22, 2026 by Michael Johnson

Quick answer
BingX is a crypto exchange founded in 2018. It offers spot trading, futures and copy trading, and says it has over 40 million users. It publishes monthly Proof of Reserves and says its self-funded Shield Fund holds over 150 million dollars. It does not accept users from the US, UK, Canada and other listed countries. Futures and futures copy trading can lose you money fast.

What is BingX exchange?

BingX is a crypto exchange founded in 2018: a platform where you buy, sell and trade coins. It says it serves over 40 million users and lists more than 1,100 trading pairs (About BingX, September 2026).

A trading pair is two assets you swap, such as BTC/USDT. USDT (Tether) is a stablecoin, a coin designed to stay close to one US dollar. Spot trading means you buy the coin itself and own it.

Futures are contracts that let you bet on a price going up (a long) or down (a short) without owning the coin. They often use leverage, which means trading with borrowed money. BingX is best known for futures and copy trading, which means automatically repeating another trader’s trades.

Which country is BingX from, and who runs it?

BingX’s official pages do not name a headquarters country. Its Customer Agreement is a contract between you and Nieve Cruz PA Corporation (BingX Customer Agreement, September 2026). You must be at least 18 to open an account.

BingX press releases carry a Panama City dateline (BingX blog, June 2025). That shows where a release was issued, not a headquarters. Panama is on BingX’s own restricted list. News reports, such as The Record in 2024, have called BingX a Singapore platform. BingX’s own pages don’t say so, and Singapore is also on its restricted list.

This matters if something goes wrong. BingX’s Disclaimer caps its liability at the fees you paid it in the 12 months before the event that led to the claim (BingX Disclaimer, December 2023 version).

What can you trade on BingX?

BingX offers spot trading, crypto futures, TradFi futures, copy trading, bots and a demo account. TradFi means traditional finance, such as stocks, gold and forex. Margin is the money you put up to back a futures position. Liquidation happens when losses use up that margin and BingX closes the position.

Perpetual FuturesFutures with no expiry date, with leverage up to 150x on major coinsLiquidation
Standard FuturesA simpler futures product that BingX calls beginner-friendly. One fee, charged when you closeStill leveraged. In Isolated Margin mode, where margin is limited to one position, a trade closes automatically at a 90% loss
TradFi futuresContracts you trade with USDT as margin that track stocks, indices, commodities and forex. No shares or dividendsSome allow up to 1,000x leverage
Copy tradingYour account repeats a chosen trader’s tradesYou take their losses too
Grid botsBots that place a ladder of buy and sell orders in a price rangeFutures Grid uses leverage

Sources: BingX spot, futures and Standard Futures guides (May 2026), TradFi page (September 2026), demo guide (November 2025).

At 100x leverage, a price move of less than 1% against you can liquidate your position.

⚠️ Watch out: Leverage multiplies losses as well as gains. Try the demo account first, and never trade futures with money you can’t afford to lose.

How do you place your first trade on BingX?

To make your first trade, verify your identity, deposit USDT, then buy on the Spot market.

  1. Sign up on the official site or app. Type bingx.com yourself. You can register with an email address or a phone number.
  2. Complete Advanced KYC. KYC (Know Your Customer) is the identity check exchanges run. Unverified BingX accounts can’t deposit or trade. The check takes about 2 to 10 minutes (BingX KYC FAQ, September 2026).
  3. Turn on 2FA. Two-factor authentication asks for a second code, from an app, email or SMS.
  4. Deposit USDT, or buy it through P2P. To deposit, open Assets, then Deposit, and pick the coin, network and receiving account. BingX charges no deposit fee, though network fees may apply (BingX deposit guide, October 2025). P2P means buying from another user while BingX holds the coins in escrow until payment clears.
  5. Open the Spot market and search for your pair, such as BTC/USDT.
  6. Pick an order type. A market order fills at once at the best price. A limit order waits in the order book, the list of open buy and sell orders, until your price is reached.
  7. Enter at least 5 USDT and confirm. That is the minimum on most spot pairs.
⚠️ Watch out: Before any deposit or withdrawal, pick the same network on both sides. The network is the blockchain the coin travels on, such as TRC-20 (Tron). Some coins also need a memo or tag, an extra ID that shows which account the coins belong to. Send a small test amount first.

How does BingX copy trading work?

Copy trading means your account automatically repeats the trades of a trader you choose. BingX says over 11.5 million users have used it in 2026 (BingX copy trading guide, January 2026, checked 21 September 2026).

Spot copy trading uses no leverage. Futures copy trading does, so you can be liquidated.

Spot copy tradingFutures copy trading
LeverageNoneUp to 125x, by pair and trader
Liquidation riskNoneYes
Profit share paid to the traderA fixed 10% of net gains10% to 32% by trader tier (Bronze to Diamond) in Perpetual Futures copy trading. 8% to 12% in Standard Futures copy trading

Amount per trade5 to 10,000 USDTMost traders need 10 to 100 USDT

Source: BingX: Spot vs Futures Copy Trading (September 2025, checked 21 September 2026).

Profit share is the cut of your profit that goes to the trader you copy. Losses aren’t shared, so they stay yours. Normal trading fees apply too. Perpetual copy trades pay the usual Perpetual Futures rates, and Standard Futures copy trades pay 0.045%, the same as your own trades (BingX fee schedule, September 2026).

In futures, you either mirror the trader’s position size and leverage, scaled to your account, or set a fixed margin per trade (BingX copy trading guide, January 2026).

You can set Take Profit and Stop Loss (TP/SL) orders, which close a trade automatically at your price, and stop copying at any time.

The honest risks

  • Past results don’t predict future ones. BingX’s own copy trading guide warns that copying even top traders involves a high level of risk.
  • Short records can mislead. For new traders, the Copy Trading Plaza shows a 7-day ROI (return on investment). It can include returns from before they became copy traders (Copy Trading Plaza, checked 21 September 2026).
  • Their leverage becomes yours when you mirror a trader’s position size.
  • Promoters can be paid. Anyone who invites friends to follow a trader earns 25% of that trader’s profit share, according to the same BingX guide. For now this only applies to one mode, which BingX calls Standard Copy Trading.
Good to know: Start small, follow more than one trader and check results often. That is BingX’s own advice, and it still can’t prevent losses.

BingX fees: spot, futures and funding

Regular BingX users pay 0.1% per spot trade, 0.02% or 0.05% on Perpetual Futures, and 0.045% when they close a Standard Futures position. The lower futures rate is for makers. A maker adds an order to the order book and waits, while a taker fills an order that is already there.

A funding fee is a small payment exchanged between long and short traders on perpetual futures. BingX says it doesn’t go to the exchange (Perpetual Futures fee schedule, checked 21 September 2026). If you hold a position through a settlement time, you either pay it or receive it. For on-chain withdrawals, check the current fee for your coin and network before you confirm.

Fees drop at higher VIP levels, down to 0% maker and 0.025% taker on Perpetual Futures for Supreme VIP (BingX VIP page, September 2026).

Is BingX safe?

BingX has safety measures you can check, but it was hacked in 2024, and no exchange is completely safe.

Proof of Reserves

Proof of Reserves is a report showing that an exchange holds at least as much of each coin as its users deposited. The reserve ratio is reserves divided by user assets, so 100% or more means full backing (BingX Proof of Reserves, checked 21 September 2026). USDC, in the table, is another dollar stablecoin.

CoinReserve ratio, 15 September 2026
BTC146.52%
ETH128.32%
USDT122.17%
USDC124.76%

Source: BingX PoR snapshot (published 16 September 2026, checked 21 September 2026). A 122.17% ratio means BingX reported 122.17 USDT held for every 100 USDT its users hold.

BingX links audit reports from Mazars and Hacken. Check the date on each one: the monthly snapshot itself is published by BingX. A Merkle tree, a record that lets you check that your own balance is included, covers only these four coins.

Shield Fund and certifications

BingX launched its Shield Fund on 5 June 2025 as a self-funded reserve for platform incidents, such as security flaws or cyber attacks (BingX Shield Fund, June 2025). BingX says it holds over 150 million dollars (Why Trust BingX, September 2026). The fund is held in BTC, ETH and USDT, so its dollar value moves with prices. One BingX Learn page valued it at 125.55 million dollars (BingX safest exchanges guide, May 2026). It is BingX’s own money, not government deposit insurance, and it isn’t for losses on your own trades.

BingX also holds ISO/IEC 27001, an international standard for information security, and PCI DSS 4.0.1, a standard for payment card data (Why Trust BingX, September 2026). It says it has passed security audits by CertiK and SlowMist (BingX security measures, accessed September 2026).

The 2024 hot wallet hack

In September 2024, BingX paused withdrawals after detecting abnormal access to its hot wallet. A hot wallet is the online wallet an exchange keeps for daily withdrawals. The security firm SlowMist tracked losses of about 44.7 million dollars. BingX said it would cover them in full with its own capital (The Record, September 2024).

On your side, BingX offers 2FA, an anti-phishing code for its emails, a withdrawal whitelist and a one-click account lock (BingX security upgrade, August 2024).

Good to know: BingX says its representatives never contact users by phone (BingX anti-fraud guide, October 2024). It never asks for your password, 2FA code or private keys. Never send crypto to anyone to “activate” a bonus. To check a contact, use BingX Verify under User Support.

Is BingX legit?

Yes, BingX is a real exchange that has run since 2018. It names the company you contract with and publishes reserve reports. But legit is not the same as licensed where you live.

In the EU, BingX EU applied to Austria’s Financial Market Authority (FMA) for a licence under MiCA, the EU’s crypto rules. In June 2026, no licence had been granted (BingX MiCA update, June 2026, checked 21 September 2026). Until one is granted, BingX is not a MiCA-authorised provider, so you can’t count on the protections MiCA gives customers of authorised firms.

We found no licence from a national financial regulator on the BingX pages we checked. So “legit” here means a real, long-running business, not one regulated in your country.

Can you trust BingX with your money?

Trust BingX only with money you are ready to risk, and check what you can. Its reserves and Shield Fund are real signals, but its terms cap its liability.

These habits keep your risk small:

  • Keep only trading money on any exchange. Move long-term holdings to a wallet you control.
  • Check your balance in the Merkle tree after each monthly snapshot.
  • Be wary of fixed-return promises, including from copy traders.

Can you withdraw money from BingX?

Yes. Log in, open Assets, then Withdraw, and choose your coin (BingX withdrawal guide, September 2026). You can send it on-chain, meaning over a blockchain to an outside wallet, or transfer it free to another BingX user.

How much you can move depends on KYC:

UnverifiedAdvanced KYC
DepositsNot allowedUnlimited
Trading, fiat (bank money such as EUR) and Launchpad token eventsNoYes
Withdrawals per 24 hoursUp to 20,000 USDTUp to 5,000,000 USDT

Source: BingX KYC tutorial (September 2026).

  • Euro bank withdrawals through SEPA, the EU’s bank transfer system, may take 1 to 3 working days, depending on your bank. The bank account must match your KYC details, or the withdrawal fails (BingX EUR guide, January 2026).
  • Vouchers stay on BingX. Bonus, Rebate and Trial Fund vouchers can’t be withdrawn or used to pay withdrawal fees (BingX voucher guide, September 2026).
  • Security changes pause withdrawals. After you change a verification option, withdrawals are blocked for 24 hours (BingX sign-up FAQ, May 2023).

Choose the network your receiving wallet uses, and send a small test amount first.

Is BingX available in the USA, the UK and your country?

No, BingX is not available in the USA or the UK. Both are on BingX’s list of places where it does not accept customers. BingX says the list can change and may vary by service.

Is BingX legal in India?

India is not on BingX’s restricted list, but BingX doesn’t state whether it is registered there. India’s Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU-IND) registers crypto exchanges under anti-money-laundering rules. A BingX news page says the FIU’s 2024-2025 annual report counted 49 registered exchanges, only 4 of them based overseas, and that 25 offshore platforms were blocked. It doesn’t say which group BingX is in. Check FIU-IND’s current list first (BingX news, accessed September 2026).

Tax applies too. India taxes income from transferring crypto at 30%, plus surcharge and cess, with no set-off of losses. A 1% TDS (tax deducted at source) applies when a resident is paid for a transfer (Income Tax Department of India, checked 21 September 2026).

If the app is missing from your country’s app store, BingX points to its website or web app instead (BingX app guide, January 2026).

Good to know: Never use a VPN or someone else’s documents to get around these rules. BingX only verifies identities from countries it supports (BingX KYC FAQ, September 2026), and its terms allow one account per person (Customer Agreement, September 2026).

BingX new-user rewards: what “up to 5,685+ USDT” means

The 5,685+ USDT figure is BingX’s own new-user program, and most of it needs very large futures volume. We checked the Rewards Hub on 21 September 2026 (BingX Rewards Hub). It shows “Win Up to 5,685+ USDT” and a sign-up Mystery Box worth 10 to 30 USDT.

The New User Tasks are Sign Up, Advanced Identity Verification, First Deposit and First Trade. A Mystery Box is a random reward from a set range. On top of those, BingX offers some users, not all, a futures challenge. It pays Trial Fund Vouchers, credit you can use as futures margin or to pay trading fees but can’t withdraw:

Futures trading volumeTrial Fund Voucher
5,000 USDT5 USDT
20,000 USDT10 USDT
200,000 USDT20 USDT
500,000 USDT50 USDT
1,000,000 USDT100 USDT
5,000,000 USDT500 USDT
150,000,000 USDT5,000 USDT

Source: BingX Rewards Hub (checked 21 September 2026). This ladder alone adds up to 5,685 USDT, and the top step needs 150 million USDT of volume.

Compare that with fees. At the regular 0.05% taker fee, 1,000,000 USDT of futures volume costs about 500 USDT in fees. By that step, all the vouchers so far add up to 185 USDT.

The rules that decide what you actually get, from the same Rewards Hub page:

  • 21 days, once. Tasks end 21 days after sign-up, and you can join the New User Zone only once.
  • Not all volume counts. Stablecoin-to-stablecoin trades, zero-fee trades and stocks, forex, indices or commodities don’t count. Trades must be held longer than 1 minute.
  • Not withdrawable. Bonus and Trial Fund vouchers can’t be withdrawn. Profits made with them can.
  • 24-hour limit. A Bonus Voucher is credit you can use as futures margin. Positions opened with one close automatically after 24 hours.
  • Extra conditions. Some vouchers have conditions you must meet before you can use them, and time limits. Check each reward’s details in the app before you trade.
  • Region matters. Tasks and benefits vary by region and are set after Advanced KYC.
  • One person, one account. Farming rewards with several accounts or devices leads to disqualification and frozen accounts.

Some BingX Learn pages show other figures, such as 9,800+ USDT (BingX spot guide, May 2026). Go by the Rewards Hub in your own account. The Rewards Hub rules we checked don’t mention referral codes, so don’t expect any code, ours included, to add to these rewards.

⚠️ Watch out: Don’t trade futures just to climb this ladder. Leverage can liquidate your margin quickly, and the fees can cost more than the vouchers.

BingX review: pros and cons

BingX suits people who want copy trading, practice tools and futures, and who live in a country it serves. It is a poor fit if you live in a restricted country or want an exchange licensed in the EU today.

Pros

  • Two kinds of copy trading, including spot copy trading with no leverage.
  • A demo account with 100,000 VST for practice.
  • Standard Futures charge one fee, only when you close.
  • Monthly Proof of Reserves, with all four ratios above 100% in September 2026.
  • A self-funded Shield Fund that BingX puts at over 150 million dollars.

Cons

  • No MiCA licence yet, and no headquarters stated.
  • Very high leverage on offer: up to 150x on crypto futures and 1,000x on some TradFi contracts.
  • A hot wallet hack in 2024.

How to sign up on BingX with our referral code

Our BingX referral code is CHUCHU. The Referral Code field on BingX’s sign-up form is optional, so using it is your choice (BingX sign-up FAQ, May 2023).

  1. Open the official BingX website or app, or use our BingX sign-up link.
  2. Register with your email or phone number.
  3. Check the Referral Code field. Make sure it shows CHUCHU, or type it in, before you create the account.
  4. Verify your email or phone, then complete Advanced KYC and turn on 2FA.

What the code does. It links your account to us as your referrer. BingX then pays us part of the trading fees you pay. Its referral program pays 10% to 20% (BingX referral program, September 2026). Affiliates can earn up to 50% (BingX affiliate program, September 2026). That share comes out of fees you pay anyway.

What it doesn’t do. It doesn’t change BingX’s fee rates, and the Rewards Hub rules we checked don’t tie the new-user rewards to any code. Some referrers pass part of their commission to friends as a fee rebate, through BingX’s “Earn Crypto Together” feature, so codes can differ. We don’t promise a fee rebate or any extra reward with CHUCHU.

Adding it later. If you skipped the field, add a code under My Referrer: Profile Settings in the app, or Account & Security on the web. This only works before any deposit or crypto purchase and before you invite anyone. Once bound, a code can’t be changed (BingX sign-up FAQ, May 2023).

What to do next

  1. Check that your country is not on BingX’s restricted list, then sign up on the official website or app and complete Advanced KYC.
  2. Turn on 2FA, set an anti-phishing code and add a withdrawal whitelist before your first deposit.
  3. Practise with the 100,000 VST demo account before you try futures or copy trading, and start with small amounts.

Frequently asked questions

What is BingX exchange?

BingX is a crypto exchange founded in 2018 that offers spot trading, futures, copy trading and trading bots. It says it has over 40 million users. It doesn’t serve the US, the UK, Canada and other listed countries. Futures and futures copy trading use leverage, so you can lose money fast.

Is BingX available in the USA?

No. The United States and all US territories are on BingX’s restricted list, and its Customer Agreement says users must not be US or Canada users. The UK is restricted too. Don’t use a VPN or someone else’s documents to get around this.

Is BingX safe and legit?

BingX is legit: a real exchange running since 2018, with monthly Proof of Reserves above 100% and a self-funded Shield Fund that BingX puts at over 150 million dollars. It was hacked in 2024 and said it would cover the losses. It has no MiCA licence yet, so keep only trading money there.

Which country is BingX from?

BingX’s official pages don’t name a headquarters. Its Customer Agreement is with Nieve Cruz PA Corporation, and its press releases carry a Panama City dateline. Some news reports call it Singapore-based, but BingX doesn’t confirm this, and both Panama and Singapore are on its restricted list.

Can I withdraw money from BingX?

Yes. Open Assets, then Withdraw. With Advanced KYC you can withdraw up to 5,000,000 USDT per 24 hours. Bonus and Trial Fund vouchers can’t be withdrawn, only the profits made with them. Use the same network as the receiving wallet and send a small test first.

Is BingX legal in India?

India is not on BingX’s restricted list, but BingX doesn’t state whether it is registered with India’s Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU-IND), so check FIU-IND’s current list first. India taxes income from transferring crypto at 30%, plus surcharge and cess, with no set-off of losses, and a 1% TDS applies to many transfers above set limits.

How much does BingX copy trading cost?

You pay the trader a share of your net profit: a fixed 10% in spot copy trading, or 8% to 32% in futures copy trading, depending on the copy mode and the trader’s tier. Normal trading fees also apply. Futures copy trading uses leverage, so you can lose your whole margin.

BingX rules and numbers here come from BingX’s own pages, linked where they appear. The 2024 hack figures come from The Record, and India’s tax rules from India’s Income Tax Department. We re-checked rewards, fees, copy trading, reserves, the restricted list and MiCA status on 21 September 2026.
